Current Events: Demo Derby—There is a Demo Derby meeting this Thursday August 5, 2010 at 6:30pm at Cecil’s house at 5905 16th St. Rio Linda for the event on September 11th if you need location information, contact Lion_Shelli@comcast.net . The rules and Entry Flyer are on the Demolition Page. There will be a professional inspector to ensure that everything is run fair and safe. Cecil and Sharonnia will be hosting the pit side and Carol and Shelli will be hosting the guest side. It will be a fun time.
Mutt Strut—We are hosting a 2K dog walk on September 25th to raise funds to purchase a drug and ammunition sniffing dog for the Twin Rivers Police Department. If you would like to be part of the organizing team let me know. Our next meeting is on August 10th at the Rio Linda Elverta Community Center
Buck Stew—Larry is busy preparing for the annual Buck Stew. He is not sure exactly where we are going to hold it but where ever it is we will have plenty of room.
Friends of the Rio Linda Lions Club—You may have noticed that I removed some picture pages on this website. I will print them up and start a scrapbook that we can enjoy at our events. I removed them to free up some space to include a promotional page to display the wonderful people and businesses that sponsor our Demo Derby, Mutt Strut, Ruby’s and various other events.
The Rio Linda Lion’s Club offers people to enjoy themselves while giving back to the community. Some of the charitable activities we are involved in include:

We have a wonderful time hosting fundraisers such as the demolition derby, crab feeds, Buck’s Stew, and murder mystery dinner theaters to raise money to support these community efforts. We would like to welcome you to come visit us on the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Thursday of the month at 7:00pm at the:
